Point Score Rules & Regulations
METROPOLITAN POINT SCORE Any financial member is eligible to participate in the Metropolitan point score. Members can be in either Metropolitan or Country point score, not both. Metropolitan is defined as within 150 km radius of the Brisbane GPO and Country is defined as outside this radius.
An entry fee of $5.00 per member or family membership per breed, payable before any dog owned by member or family membership can compete in the competition. This is payable prior entering the ring of the point score show. If point score money is paid aft4er competing in a point score show, the points received for that particular show would be classed as ineligible. Point score membership will not be backdated prior the date paid.
No repeat judge is permissible, ie, if there is a change of judge in any selected point score show which causes this situation, it would be automatic cancellation of that show as a point score show. A total of 10(ten) shows are selected comprising of 2 (two) Cattle Dog and Kelpie Club of Qld Inc specialty shows in February and June, the remainder are selected and voted on by the members at a general meeting prior commencement of the point score year. Back up shows are also selected and voted on at the same general meeting to cover inconsistencies that may occur. There will be no local (Qld) judges at these shows with the exception of the ACD&K club show.
COUNTRY POINT SCORE Results to be sent to: Kath whyatt - [email protected] All dogs registered in the members’ names are eligible to compete. During the year you have to have the catalogue for each CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW IN QUEENSLAND (ONLY) that you attend, and do well at, to be marked. Either the writer or the steward of the particular show must also sign the same catalogue. At the end of October, you must then go through your signed catalogues and submit your 10 BEST SHOWS’ RESULTS. Forward the appropriate catalogues to the Country Point Score Coordinator, who will then goes through them and allocates the appropriate points for your dog/s. The Cattle Dog and Kelpie Club of Qld Inc reserves the right to add or delete the rules as required.
BABY & PUPPY OF THE YEAR COMPETITION Results to be sent to Mark Armstrong - [email protected] (no nomination fee – open to bother Metropolitan and Country Members) One trophy for Baby; One trophy for Puppy – overall winner All members are eligible for Baby and Puppy of the Month and Year Competition. Simply submit your MARKED catalogues, SIGNED by the writer or ring steward to the co-ordinator or at the appropriate club meeting ie the shows are within the month prior that meeting and the highest number of dogs beaten at any single show will be the winner of that month. The highest winner for the year will obtain the Baby/Puppy of the year. A trophy will be awarded at the Annual Break-up. Show eligibility will be any Championship Show within the state of Queensland. NOTE: QLD CLASSIC AND SWEEPSTAKES ARE NOT INCLUDED
